Member's Handbooks & Membership Cards -are available, for those who have not already collected.
For Members' we have introduced the following initiative:
“Members Bonus $250 Draw“ - to be conducted on the first Friday in the month (during bowls season). We will do up to 3 draws, in endeavour to reward a member present. This is in addition to the usual Friday evening Members “Jackpot Draw”. So by attending, first Friday in the month, you will have up to four chances to take some hard earned cash home!
That's not all, on these first monthly Friday's; we will be providing free music entertainment. So, like all Friday evenings (members and guest), come along and enjoy the meals, drinks, raffles, camaraderie and members jackpot draw. Please let friends and guests know the benefits of being a Highton Bowls Club Social Member (at the very least).
We kick off on the 4th October with some great guitar music being sung by Lukey Luke. You have asked, we have listened, and this night will have a $15 Roast Beef dinner available, in addition to the regular meals. If you wish to avail of the Roast dinner, then you MUST pre-order by placing your name on the List, located on West wall / Social Section, in clubrooms.
HOT OFF THE PRESS - Thanks to Bryce Selwood (Sponsors Director) and committee helpers, we have secured sponsorship from Ryman Healthcare, for new Pennant Shirts, for season 2020/21 onwards. Their deal will enable us to provide a free shirt to all pennant bowlers. Again, thank you Ryman Healthcare.

Membership Draw
No winner again last week, so it has jackpotted to $500 for this week.

Ladies Tuesday Social Bowls
Ladies social bowls will commence Tuesday October 1st. same day as pennant. List of interested players and further detail on outside notice board will be available on 20th SEPTEMBER.
Please tell other members who may not see this notice. Also these days are open for other non pennant players from other clubs who may wish to participate.
Subway Triples Summer Season
Subway summer series 2 bowls men's triples starts Thursday 3rd October, get your teams together and register them with Rod Ollis.

Our greens were officially opened last night with Belinda Keok delivering the 'first' bowl.

Geelong Bowls Region - Championship Events 2019-2020
A summary of GBR events for the 2019-2020 season has been posted on the notice board at the east end
of the club rooms. Entry forms are shown for those events with closing dates in September.
If you wish to enter an event please complete the entry form on the notice board and pay the $ 10
entry fee. Clearly list your name, and specific GBR event you wish to enter on the white envelope
provided and show the amount paid, then post the envelope in the slot beside the bar. GBR will not
accept late entries so entries will close at club level on the day prior to the date shown by GBR to ensure
that we meet the GBR deadline. (Please make sure that you are available to play on each of the dates
scheduled).

Club members were saddened to hear the news of the passing of our esteemed Life Member - Alan Parish.
We offer our sincere sympathy to Betty and families.
Highton Bowls Club - Club Championship Events 2019/20
Entry sheets and Conditions of Play are now listed on the Men's and Ladies Notice Boards for:
- Pairs Events - last chance as entries close on Monday 23rd September 2019. Ladies at 11.30am, Men's at 5.30pm. Draws will be listed on the notice boards after next Monday with first round to be completed no later than Wednesday 2nd October 2019.
- Veterans Events - entries close on Monday 30th September 2019. Ladies at 11.30am, Men's at 5.30pm.
- Novice Events - entries close on Monday 7th October 2019. Ladies at 11.30am, Men's at 5.30pm.
- Singles Club Championship - entries close on Monday 14th October 2019. Ladies at 11.30am, Men's at 5.30pm. Please note that this event will be played on the Top Grass Green.
Entry fee of $10.00pp (covers all events) and is payable prior to close of entries.
