Subway summer series 2 bowls men's triples starts Thursday 3rd October, get your teams together and register them with Rod Ollis.

We are looking for your support to make this a successful evening. Please start to get your friends together on a table of 8 or more.
Bowls Section
Pennant Players
Midweek Pennant players are reminded that our first scheduled training session for the season will be held on Monday, September 2nd commencing at 9.30am. The first practice match against RSL is Tuesday, September 3rd. Mufti, 9.30am for a 10am start.
Saturday Pennant players. The first practice game for Saturday players will be at City on Saturday September 7th where we will be playing for the annual Kevin Smith Memorial Trophy.
Pennant Bowling Season Opening 2019-2020
Come and join fellow members for our official opening of the Pennant Bowling Season following Pennant Practice, Thursday September 19th at 6.30pm. BBQ provided. (For catering purposes please indicate on the signup sheet on the notice board).
WWCC - Working With Children's Check
We have a number of activities involving junior players in the coming weeks. It is important that we have an adequate number of members available to assist with eligible Working With Children's Check certification. Our current list shows that a number of members WWCC certification has reached the expiry date. Could you please check the expiry date of your certification and speak to Wendy or Viv regarding this matter prior to Monday September 9th. Similarly if you are interested in applying for a WWCC could you also speak with Wendy or Viv by this date.
Geelong Bowls Region - Championship Events 2019-2020
A summary of GBR events for the 2019-2020 season has been posted on the notice board at the east end
of the club rooms. Entry forms are shown for those events with closing dates in September.
If you wish to enter an event please complete the entry form on the notice board and pay the $ 10
entry fee. Clearly list your name, and specific GBR event you wish to enter on the white envelope
provided and show the amount paid, then post the envelope in the slot beside the bar. GBR will not
accept late entries so entries will close at club level on the day prior to the date shown by GBR to ensure
that we meet the GBR deadline. (Please make sure that you are available to play on each of the dates
scheduled).

Highton Bowls Club - Club Championship Events 2019/20
The entry sheets for both Men's and Ladies Pair Events are now listed on the Men's and Ladies Notice Boards.
Entries close on Monday 23rd September 2019. Ladies at 12.30pm and Men's at 5.30pm
Entry fee of $10.00pp (covers all events) and is payable prior to close of entries.
Conditions of Play are also listed on notice boards.

Dawn Harrison
Life member Dawn Harrison turned 90 on Wednesday 28th August. Celebrations are to be had this weekend with family and friends.

Season Opening
Vic Open - November 15 to 22
The Victorian Open will return to Shepparton in 2019 for another great week of bowls and entertainment. This year's tournament will be contested from November 15-22 at various clubs throughout Shepparton and the Goulburn Valley region, with Shepparton Park Club the venue for the finals.
15th Mixed Pairs. 16th Singles17th Men's and Ladies Pairs 18th Mens and Ladies Triples. The knock out rounds and finals follow with Fridaythe last day.
