Works being carried out around the club
Our thanks to Arthur and helpers for works that have been happening around the top and bottom greens
in preparation for shade cloth and seating as per the Grant we received
Basement bowlers will also be pleased with the relocation of a reverse cycle air conditioner to that area.
In the club rooms one of the outlet vents has been located in a more functional position.

Bowls Section
Geelong Bowls Region - Championship Events 2019-2020
A summary of GBR events for the 2019-2020 season has been posted on the notice board at the east end
of the club rooms. Entry forms are shown for those events with closing dates in September.
If you wish to enter an event please complete the entry form on the notice board and pay the $ 10
entry fee. Clearly list your name, and specific GBR event you wish to enter on the white envelope
provided and show the amount paid, then post the envelope in the slot beside the bar. GBR will not
accept late entries so entries will close at club level on the day prior to the date shown by GBR to ensure
that we meet the GBR deadline. (Please make sure that you are available to play on each of the dates
scheduled).

Midweek Pennant Players are reminded that our first practice match against RSL is Tuesday, September
3rd. Mufti, 9.30am for a 10am start.

Vic Open - November 15 to 22
The Victorian Open will return to Shepparton in 2019 for another great week of bowls and entertainment. This year's tournament will be contested from November 15-22 at various clubs throughout Shepparton and the Goulburn Valley region, with Shepparton Park Club the venue for the finals.
15th Mixed Pairs. 16th Singles17th Men's and Ladies Pairs 18th Mens and Ladies Triples. The knock out rounds and finals follow with Fridaythe last day.

August Birthday Bash
The August birthday bash was a great success with about 90 guests helping
the 12 August birthday members celebrate their birthday.
The club rooms were set up in party mode with a great artist providing music
to dance too.
All agreed that members birthdays should celebrated monthly providing a
reason to party.
