Reminder, that Election Position Voting, for respective Selection Committees, will close this evening (Friday 3/5) at 5pm.

Mid week Pennant Players 2019-2020
It is important at this time of the season that the Selection Committee are aware of your intentions to play Pennant next season 2019/20.
Our club is required to submit the number of pennant teams for the coming season toward the end of June. If you wish to play Mid week Pennant please tick your name on the sheet at the back of the room in the section Selection Midweek. Any Division withdrawn after the GBR hand book is printed receives a hefty fine. YOUR CO-OPERATION would be appreciated.

Men's Section
Uniform/Social Attire - Given the popularity of our new Social Polo's, Wind Jackets and Hoodies we will again be looking to take further orders over the coming months for anyone who is interested. Please keep an eye on the Rear Notice Boards for the Order which will be put up in the coming week. If you have any queries on these items then kindly contact Terry Driscoll to discuss.
Basement Bowls - A big thank you for the Men and Women who were involved in a clean up working bee of the Basement Area. A magnificent job has been done and we ask that everybody playing down please take pride in the facility and keep it clean and tidy going forward.
Friday Night Raffles: I'm sure people are getting sick of hearing my voice every Friday Night and I believe it is now timely to ask for expressions of interest from anybody who would like to assist in this role. I will be going overseas in 6 weeks and will be unavailable until mid-August, so it is important that we have a succession structure in place in my absence. Unfortunately a lot of our members will also be availing of leave over the Winter Months so any help will be greatly appreciated. Please let me know if you can assist.
Saturday Pennant Availability - The list is on the back wall and it would be appreciated if you could kindly mark your intentions on this.
Club Coach - Just a quick note to advise that Daniel Priddle will be formally introduced to the Club on MONDAY 6th May at the completion of our AGM. Daniel will present for 15 minutes or so at that time. Please make yourselves known to him and afford him our usual welcome .

Victorian Open - 15 to 22 November
Anyone wishing to go to the Vic Open I have have booked 3 cabins at this stage at Victoria Lake Holiday Park. Events are usually Singles 15th, Pairs 16th, Triples 17th, Mixed Pairs 18th.
Anyone wishing to participate does not necessarily have to stay at this venue. If you are interested in playing and would like to join the crew from Highton please let Elaine Coles or me know by 10 May.

OUT and ABOUT
The Lynes would like to report that they are safely back from New Zealand. There were a couple of moments when one of the travellers wondered if she would actually make it back. This photo shows the landscape near French Pass at the top of the South Island. Our accommodation was at the bottom of the "hill". Stunning scenery but there were a few white knuckle moments getting there particularly when google maps sent us down the wrong access track and we had to come back to the top and do it all again. The tour guides have been threatened with disinheritance.

A birthday bash is being planned to take place on Saturday 17 August
for all club members born in the month of August.
